This is a vintage men’s scarf featuring a wonderful pattern consisting of blue squares and bands against a black background.  The label reads “Nouveauté Francaise Made in France”.  There is no fabric content label, but I think that these are usually made of a blend of silk and wool - whatever the content, very nice quality.  There is a short pulled fringe at either end.

Age: most likely 1960s

Size: 50” long with a width of 12 1/4”.

Condition:  It is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, staining - a bit of waviness to the side edge, but this just needs a bit of a pressing.  The scarf scarf looks like it saw little or no use and was well stored over the years.

Very classy scarf, the blue pattern really pops - suitable for gift giving!
